DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME COIMBRA

 We are leaving for the glorious city of Coimbra. It is home to one of Europe's oldest universities, magnificent churches and a museum that now houses paintings by Raphael and Diego Velázquez. The name of the city also brings to mind another outstanding artist, Miguel Coimbra, who worked in different styles and created many stunning pieces of art for a huge number of tables. If Raphael painted the Vatican, then Coimbra decorated the whole world with his works!

 So, we are in the former capital of Portugal of the XV-XVI centuries. Coimbra becomes the cultural center of the country. The Middle Ages are quickly replaced by the Renaissance. Vasco da Gama paves a trade route to Asia. Fernando Magellan, preparing to make a trip around the world.

 All these people have certainly succeeded in their endeavors, and we, as representatives of the oldest houses of Coimbra, have no right to lag behind them. To earn universal respect, it will be necessary to establish relations with monasteries and generously finance expeditions, so that the glare of the glory of great travelers will fall on us. It also does not hurt to secure the location of the most influential townspeople in exchange for a monetary reward or protection.

GAME PROCESS

 The game lasts four rounds. The first player rolls the dice. Participants take turns choosing one cube, placing it on a holder and placing it in one of the locations of the city. Cubes form rows. In the castle, they are arranged in ascending order, in other locations - in descending order.

 When each player has placed three dice, players take them back and play in the order determined by the placement of the dice. Castle cubes allow you to take support cards that increase the number of crowns. With the help of dice in the rest of the city, you can buy cards of the corresponding characters. They give various bonuses, crown tokens and promote players from influence tracks.

 Players then determine the new turn order by counting the number of crowns on the support tiles, tokens, and turn order flags. Representatives of the city's families receive income depending on the color of the selected cubes. This can be protection, money, victory points or moving pilgrims. The latter like to hang out in monasteries that bring bonuses. The amount of profit is determined by the impact track. Earnings are received - it's time to invest in travel!

 After the end of the fourth round, the game ends. Players earn points for influence tracks, travel, diploma sets on character and monastery maps, power-ups, protection, coins and crowns. The family with the maximum number of points wins.
