DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME ROOT

 Under the crowns of ancient trees, the troops of the Marquis De Côté entered with a gallant march. Thus, the furry invaders decided to bring peace and order to this region. But such an unceremonious invasion destroyed the precarious balance between the original inhabitants of this Forest. And while cat patrols, rattling weapons, walk along all the surrounding paths, while the construction of barracks and sawmills is unfolding around the Citadel of De Côte, other forces have already come into motion. Did Marquis know what an avalanche of events her thirst for new possessions would cause? Did ... And even if she did know ... The flywheel has been started, the mechanism of fate has begun to move, and if the invaders spend this night in peace, then tomorrow everything will change ...

 Root - an asymmetric strategy about the confrontation of intelligent animals in the Magic Forest. Here, the ascetic, even a little sketchy, design is combined with a deep and elaborate gameplay. In fact, the game is a kind of puzzle for each of the players. Each faction has its own mechanics, its own goals and its own ways to victory. In addition to their own actions, players should think through the moves of their opponents, understanding in time, or breaking alliances. There are also such wonderful mechanics as territory control, map and resource management - these mechanics are present in the game for any faction. And even though it is not easy to make a fully asymmetric game without collapsing the balance of the parties, the developers were able to cope with this difficult and non-trivial task.

PARTIES TO THE CONFLICT

 Marquis De Cote is the stronghold of civilized society in this wild and barbaric land. Her troops are numerous, her craftsmen are skilled, and her ambitions are truly unstoppable. Marquis cats rely on military and economic power. At first, there are many soldier cats in the forest. A player representing the interests of the Marquis consolidates his rule by building sawmills, workshops, and barracks, and his subjects can take up to three actions during the day.

 The Winged Dynasty is a venerable group of feathered who ruled the Forest wisely and justly before the invasion of cats. The Winged Dynasty has many generations of proud birds. For them, honor and discipline are above all else. Houses of representatives of the dynasty are nests. And their imperative is the unconditional fulfillment of all orders. Each order card drawn must be executed. No half measures. After all, the slightest violation of discipline will serve as an immediate signal for the overthrow of the clan leader, and if such a sad event happens, then the player who undertook to lead the Dynasties to rule the Forest will lose victory points for built nests.

 The Forest Union is a defiant society of partisans who decided to expel the usurpers with quick and painful blows. Union saboteurs are ready to destroy and sow trouble. When the sun leaves the sky, their time comes. Forest Union - partisans-idealists. In the depths of the Forest, they build bases, and with the help of civil unrest attract allies to their side. At the start of the game, the Union troops are not on the map, and these brave and hidden freedom fighters organize all their activities in the evening.

 Wagabund is a lonely and mysterious traveler. He is an excellent craftsman, and his experience of life in the Forest is exceptional. Pursuing his goal, the Tramp trades, or even takes on some work given to him by other factions. So who is this ideological loner? A nimble and skillful raccoon, a jack of all trades. He is used to living on his own and going his own way, but he does not deny others help, of course, for an appropriate reward. The vagabond is welcome everywhere, because he is a merchant. And also - a mercenary. The player who took on the difficult lonely role of Burlaka receives victory points for completed tasks.

WIN THE GAME

 The victory will go to the player who first reaches the value of 30 points, or fulfills all the conditions of the advantage card. And in terms of gameplay, you will get to know all the beauty of asymmetry. Each faction is unique. Not only the goals and starting conditions are different, the mechanics are also different. Each faction embodies the ideals of the creatures that make it up.

 The game is deep and interesting. The game map is double-sided, so you can lead your faction to success both in summer conditions and in harsh winter. Dynamic gameplay, interesting rules, combined with a strange and extremely well-worked environment, all this combined will not leave you indifferent.
