DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME DUNE

 Frank Herbert's science fiction novel "Dune" was published in 1963-1965. Alejandro Jodorowsky tried to film it ten years later. Unfortunately, the film featuring Salvador Dalí, the famous French comic artist Jean "Moebius" Giraud and the artist Hans Rudolf Giger, who gave the world Alien, never came out, and his ideas were ripped off by "Star Wars". This was followed by computer and desktop adaptations, numerous as grains of sand on the planet Arrakis.

 But the first board game appeared in 1979. Since then, many have dreamed of a reprint. But, as you know, layers of sand cannot always hide a real treasure. In 2013, the movie "Jodorowsky's Dune" was released, and in 2019, the original game was re-released. The main changes affected the ability of the Emperor, his allies, and even alliances.

THE MOST STABLE LAWS IN THE UNIVERSE ARE CHANCE AND ERROR

 The greatest value in the galaxy of the distant future is "spice" or "spice". This substance increases lifespan, allows you to travel through collapsed space without navigation, and helps you see possible future options.

 The spice is mined on the planet Arrakis, which the local Fremen call Dune. Extraction of the substance is quite dangerous, because the planet is inhabited by huge sand worms. However, this circumstance cannot stop the six factions who want to control Arrakis.

 Along with ordinary soldiers, leaders can join the battle. All funds are good in the Battle of Arrakis, so every turn there is an auction where you can buy betrayal cards. Traitors influence the course of battles and can treacherously kill a leader by pretending to be allies. Fallen leaders can be resurrected using advanced genetic technology, paying for it with spice.

 Each faction has unique abilities. The leader of the Atreides, Paul, has the gift of clairvoyance, which allows him to see secret auction cards. The Harkonnens specialize in contract killings. The Emperor of House Corrino exacts tribute from the other players for treason. Under his leadership, powerful and ruthless warriors - sardavkars.

 The guild sells permits to transport troops to the planet. The Fremen skillfully hide from the storm and are not afraid of the terrible inhabitants of the sands. The Bene Gesserit order avoids conflict, exploits opponents, and influences the use of cards by other players.
