Checkers is one of the most famous board games in the world (it ranks with chess). It is difficult, especially in the post-Soviet space, to find a person who has never picked up checkers and moved these little figures around the checkered field. Even in our time, when the selection of board games is huge, checkers do not lose their popularity - and this is one of those games that you can always find someone to play with. And for this you only need a field (a chess set will also work) and Checkers in a box . We can help you with the latter.
HOW TO PLAY
Checkers rules are as simple as possible. In front of you is an 8x8 playing field with white and black squares, where only black (or only white, it doesn't matter) will take part. Place checkers of your color on the three closest rows to you only on black (or only white) squares. The white checkers start walking first. They move diagonally to the nearest black cell, necessarily only forward. If this cell is blocked by an opponent's checker, but the next one after it is free - you can step over the opponent's checker by removing his checker from the field. In this way, you can arrange whole combinations! The winner is the player who can remove all the opponent's checkers from the field.
THE CHESS HAS REACHED THE END OF THE FIELD
Then she turns into a checker! If simple checkers move only 1 square forward, then the checker can move any distance in a straight line in any direction. This is your trump card against your opponent.
