WHAT IS THE GAME ABOUT?

 The board role-playing game "Destinies" is built on Scan&Play technology, that is, it uses a special electronic application that will guide players through the plot and turn them into heroes with a capital letter. On the game table, we will open fragments of the world map, study locations, roll cubes and pump skill levels, replenish the card inventory of items and fight with monsters, moving their miniatures on the map, and the main mechanism of the game and the plot itself in the form of intros and dialogues will be revealed on on the gadget screen.

 We will find ourselves in a cruel fantasy world on the eve of the appearance of the Angel of Death. His coming is the real end of the world with all the consequences: plague, famine, war, parasites and heavenly punishments on the heads of sinners, the fall of the seals of the Apocalypse and everything in a similar vein. The angel will watch our exploits, putting on his winged shoulders the role of an independent judicial panel, and there is a small chance that he will not burn everything around with fire and sword, if he considers the chosen ones worthy.

STRUCTURE AND ROLES

 To fulfill his purpose, the player must decide which of the two trials he must pass: light or dark. Challenges are tasks that require you to actively interact with the world, communicate with the characters embedded in the plot, and help them in difficult situations with the help of your skills and quest items. No one sets limits: if you manage to pass both tests at once, you are a great person, receive a lollipop - laurels of the winner.

 After everyone chooses a character and gets acquainted with his backstory, we will take turns passing the device with the program running in a circle and reading the plot out loud, because here we have no secrets from each other. The progress takes into account movement (to an explored or unexplored map fragment) and visiting any special location, clicking on which you will see options for possible actions: trading, scanning items or destination cards, interaction, actions with verification, etc.

 In order to successfully pass skill checks, you need to level them on your tablet. We have three characteristics available: intelligence, dexterity and strength. For the check roll, we will use the main white dice, but periodically we will add temporary effort dice to them, which will help improve our result. We get a success for each skill token in a cell whose value is less than or equal to the total result of the roll or for the value of the star on the effort die. Depending on the number of successes achieved, you can get experience points, new items, improve or degrade a skill and, of course, change the course of the non-linear story.
