DESCRIPTION OF BOARD GAME YGGDRASIL

 Yggdrasil is a cooperative game in which players take on the role of the gods of Norse mythology: Odin, Thor, Sif, Heimdall, Freya and others.

 The monsters, Fenrir, the huge serpent Jormungand, the fire giant Surt, the goddess of the dead Hel, the traitor Loki and the dragon Nidhogg inevitably step forward into Asgard and announce the approach of chaos and the destruction of the world tree Yggdrasil. Together, the players will have to resist the inevitable arrival of the forces of evil at any cost and stop Ragnarok.

FLOW OF THE GAME

 During his turn, the active player first takes an enemy card corresponding to one of the six evil creatures. The corresponding token is moved one sector forward into Asgard and the corresponding card effect is applied. The active player then takes three different actions among the nine available to him to counter the attack:

• Ask the elves for help
• Obtain (or upgrade) weapons from dwarves
• Send a valkyrie to search for the souls of the Vikings in the human world-Midgard
• Fight fire giants and try to collect parts of the magic rune
• Agree with the Vanir
• Get rid of the fire giants that invaded Midgard
• Bring back the Vikings from the world of Hel
• Exchange powers with another god
• Fighting enemies in Asgard

 Each player, depending on the god he plays for, has a certain power that allows him to perform some actions better. All these actions must be used at the right moment, otherwise victory will be impossible. Players will need smarts, composure and team spirit to challenge the game.

WHO IS THE GAME FOR?

 Yggdrasil will appeal to people who like cooperative games with simple rules, but difficult to achieve victory conditions.
