DESCRIPTION OF THE BOARD GAME SHERLOCK: TOMB OF THE ARCHAEOLOGIST

 The profession of archaeologist is extremely interesting. Scientists spend the whole day digging for fossils and shards in the company of mummies. However, very often communication with dead pharaohs leads to the fact that the researcher himself soon turns into an exhibit that detectives and pathologists puzzle over. Unfortunately, this statement was confirmed once again by the unfortunate Edward Carter. The body of the scientist was found by his wife in his office. It's up to us to unravel this tangled case and find out who turned the letter knife into a deadly weapon.

 "Tomb of the Archaeologist" is an exciting card detective from the "Sherlock" series. Unlike the game "Last Chance" , where events take place in our time, we are transferred to the twenties of the XX century to find the killer of a famous scientist. The name of the main victim is a reference to the famous archaeologist Howard Carter, who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun.

GAME PROCESS

 You need to establish the identity of the killer, find out all the surrounding circumstances and motives, as well as the murder weapon. But how? The profession of a detective is similar to the profession of an archaeologist. You have a lot of evidence that is like sand in the desert. To get to the truth, you need to weed out the superfluous and leave only the most important finds. Participants will act according to the same principle, playing cards from their hand and sending them to reset.

 At the beginning of the investigation, everyone receives a certain number of cards, depending on the number of players. If the detective believes that one of his cards is related to the case, he places it face up in the center of the table. Now this information is available to all detectives. But if a player lays out a card that has nothing to do with the investigation and leads your team down the wrong trail, then at the end of the game, he loses one point.

 The presented maps are far from the only source of information. Cards in your hand can also aid in investigation, albeit with some limitations. Participants can only pronounce words that are specially underlined or marked with a paper clip symbol.

LIKE SAND THROUGH THE FINGERS

 Another source of information in this suffocating desert of facts is the discarded maps. Therefore, when you send the card for reset, try to remember its content. After all, it is possible that you accidentally sifted out a valuable piece of evidence. In the final stage of the investigation, such maps generate very valuable assumptions. But discard cards can only be discussed when there are no more cards in the main deck.

 If you are used to relying solely on your own strength, you can try the solo mode. Get six cards in your hand and you're good to go. Instead of one reset stack, you now have two—permanent and temporary. When the cards in the main deck run out, you can use the temporary stack and make a final choice.
